OFL Quarry Operation

Onshore Frontiers Limited’s dimension stone business is a young decorative natural stone company with its head office in Abuja and a factory complex in Lokoja, Kogi State. The company has in its fold exquisite dimension stone products with the source material developed from selected quarry sites carefully picked by professionals to meet the standards and needs of the Nigerian public. These quarries are situated in different parts of the country with each having its unique colour and durability.

We currently have quarry leases to mine five (5) granite outcrops which include the Red River (Ajaokuta), African Multi-coloured (Ajaokuta), Abaji clouds(Abuja), Shendam Porphyry(Plateau), Uke Specials (Keffi).We also have a purchasing relationships with other stone block producers in Nigeria thereby giving us a diversified array of constant access of over 10 (ten) colour varieties of granites most times.

We have installed at our factory state of the art equipment necessary to cut and process stone blocks to exquisite finished products which include tiles, staircases slabs, table/kitchen tops, bath tubs just to mention a few. Full quarry operations at the Ajaokuta quarry have installed diamond wire cutters, compressors, jack hammers, crane lift, including skilled personnel to ensure productivity. This operation is achieved by drilling parallel holes along large rock faces and then using a diamond wire cutter to slice the block into preferred shapes. Stone blocks with dimensions of about 1.5m x 2m x 2m are cut to achieve a desired length and breadth making it easy to feed the 24 multi blade cutter at the factory. These blocks are then picked using a crane lift installed at the quarry and transported on a low bed vehicle to the factory for further processing. Another quarry and processing plant is presently been setup in Keffi, Nasarawa State.

The Lokoja factory at present produces 100sqm per day and the completion of the Keffi Quarry/factory will guarantee 50sqm per day. This whole process ensures a constant supply of granite blocks which is the essential feedstock to enables us meet our customer needs.
